A possible complication with MHR that no one talks about

I've been with my health insurance company, the provider is Harvard Pilgrim, for years now and recently have changed my plan which required my ID number to change. Simple bookkeeping.

I went online to view my medical history through the provider's website and it's all gone! Visits, records, events, payments are all gone. It appears that my plan number is one of the keys to the records. My expectations have been that my records are attributable to me, Eric Bell, not the transient plan ID number. Everything I counted on in having my records available online is no more. Perhaps in a period of time or with some phoning and urging the records will be moved over. I suppose I will have to see about this.

Hmmm.
